Prayers Answered

So I had mt end-of-the-year meeting with my boss today and it went really well.  Come to find out all of the regular education teachers went to bat for me at a meeting they had and told my boss that I do a very good job and it is the staff at the facility that is the problem.  Thank you, Lord!!

Prayers for Peace

Right now I could really use some prayers for peace.  My job is not going well and am not sure if next year will improve or if it will be more of the same.  At this time the issue stems from the staff at the facility, so being at a different group home may change everything.  I have also applied for several teaching positions in regular public school - which I swore I would never do - so you know this situation must be bad.

Giving vs. Generosity

Our pastor has been explaining the difference between giving and generosity.  Giving is when you feel compelled to do so after hearing a speech or maybe seeing a commercial about giving. Generosity is planned.  It is a conscious effort made toward a goal.  It is placing money aside for something you know will help someone down the road, it is giving with thought behind it.  I am making a concerted effort to be more generous.  I did it over the weekend for three amazing ladies at our church and I have never felt so good.  To know that I made their day and made them feel loved, special, and appreciated was worth every moment it took to put the generosity in motion.

Showing My Support

In honor of  Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, everyone was encouraged to wear purple today.  I decided to sport my purple headband to show support for my amazing mother-in-law.  Am so blessed to have her in my life.  Love you, Ma!!

Just Loving Life

There is nothing particularly spectacular happening in my life, and yet I feel completely blessed and serene.  I have a peace about me that is inexplicable and remarkable.

On a side note, there is a Women's Expo at Marathon Church this coming Saturday, May 7th, from 10 am - 2 pm.  There will be a brunch, a guest speaker, local vendors, and all of the activities are free.  I will be setting up a table to sell my ABC book, as well as advertise my photography business.  If you're in the area, or just starved for entertainment, stop on by!!!

Blessing in Disguise

So I have been very vocal about being adamant against having a Facebook account.  As luck would have it a good friend of mine, Teresa, started a page for me to help advertise my photography business.  Lots of people are giving me great feedback, and I even started a page under my own name in case people want to converse with me directly.  God knew better than I did what I needed in my life.  Isn't that always the way?
